Dear Rep. / Sen.                             :

The insurance companies are at it again!  They want you to pass a bill that they claim will help keep their insurance premiums down for doctors.  Since when do insurance companies want to lower their rates?  The only time they do that is when the market is competitive and they feel like they are in danger of losing market share.

Please do not be fooled by the insurance industry and their lobbyists.  I urge you to oppose this legislation.

The insurance companies have cried wolf three times before - once in the 1970s, once in the 1980s, and once again in the early '90s.  Why? Because the economy slowed down and their profits weren't as high as they liked.

Sincerely,
